These are called "onigiri". Traditional snack of Japanese rice rolled in either round, oval or whatever irregular shape you desire. It could be filled with a lot of stuff or you could it on its own or toasted and they could be also wrapped in "nori" or seaweed wrap. The left picture is mixed chicken and the right one is Japanese salmon wrapped in nori.
They were delicious but I like the Japanese salmon better. Maybe it's because of the nori? Anyway I found this site. It would give you an idea how to make onigiri at home. Looks easy, huh? I'll make my own version if I have the time. Ja!
